Today I decided to take my M-90 over at Jimmy's place just to have fun with his M-90. Little did I expect that he would tackle the problem I was having with my baby. We just started taking her apart and first he duster sprayed the boards, pots & switches then cleaned the switches and pots with some DB 5 deoxit and another different type of deoxit. Tape deck heads, capstan & flywheel were cleaned also. I can say this about Jimmy he is not only a guy that loves his boomers but is willing to go the extra mile to help out on someone else boombox. I remember the numerous post he posted on this site that were helpful for others to follow and do their own DIY!

Jimmy brother thank you!!

Im not so sure what to expect juan my man, my sony fh 909 was a hard one

he replaced a relay switch and the amp plus other things but in turn he has totally fried the deck, im not sure how he did that as he diddn't even touch the deck. to make things worse my friend, mine is a victor japan m90, you may remember i had hemiguys m90 years ago but i stupidly sold that one... it was just to heavy with those marantz speakers she had....

i have another m90 which i took to a different engineer but that one is fubar and beyond repair as that engineer fried the logic chips on the deck, what i ideally need is an m90 deck off ebay but iv never seen one in years, god bless my friend atb Reno, ps what i really need is sombody like the legend Redbenjoe to sell me another m90 but word has it he won't post abroad and to be honest i don't blaime him :-)

I do hope you find a better Tech. to service your boomers and hopefully you'll find that deck too.

To think that he fried your deck on a FH 909 makes me ticked off.
