In the third part of the photos you will see a very interesting boomboxes:
This is boombox ACIKO (just like mine) but in bad condition and missing one speaker:

Next boombox is PHILIPS D 8434 - very dirty and missing tape and batery covers:

Next boombox is HITACHI - very dirty, missing tape cover in very bad condition. Which model is this HITACHI?

Next boombox is STR 5099A - missing tape cover and switches:


This STR 5099A is brother of Super Jumbo:

The problem whit this flea - it is really big and a lot of resellers are cruising from the early morning buying all good stuff. Need to be lucky to get something in descent condition :sadno: . The funny thing is - gypsy sellers always saying - "its workin of course". And you can bet - no way to work :lol: .

that's why i be there at 5 o'clock in the mornin, with a maglite, i dont wait till people packt things out, i light in the cars....

Last weekend I went for a walk to flea market in my town (is called "BITAK") .
There was nothing interesting. Оnly some old boomboxes in unknown condition.

The Siemens Club 726 is the same as the Bush BR 5902 and, for a tone box, it's quite a decent sound. :-) This box has removable front and rear case covers allowing for easy access. :thumbsup:

A couple modern 'boomboxes' get what's coming to them - they were duff units found released in the wild...

Here's what I did with the last (the only) Maggie AZ 8050 that found it's way to my kitchen table.:

This is my girlfriend's radio that she's had since she was a high school sophomore.
Complete refurb, custom paint, line-in mod using the "Superduper" method (love that trick). It actually sounds really good for it's size. The screws make access pretty difficult. They're No. 7 Torx screws, but good luck finding a driver long enough to reach the ones for the back case. I had to borrow a long T-handle from my uncle to get inside. Once I was in it was a breeze - Just had to keep that No. 7 Torx close at hand.

I was gonna launch in with a comment about the egg but that is a stunning resto, looks factory.

Alas the CD player was toast on the one I'd found. Wasn't worth dealing with.
