They seem to show up in bunches. The white speakers can always be remedied, but the thing to look for on the GF-9000s is faded VUs. :thumbsdown: You'll see quite a few where the purple is now pink and the red is a really pale orange/yellow, almost white.

They really do seem to show up "in bunches!" I didn't see a single one for more than a year, then got one about two weeks ago, another a few days back, which I brought home two days ago, and I just got another (third) one today! None for a long time, and then a triple-hit within a few weeks. Weird!

I just looked at the two most recent ones. Fortunately, the reds are still deep red, the purple is still purple. Whew! One is dirty and a bit scratched, though (the other one looks great!). Can't check the third one, its the wee hours of the morning and I'd wake my wife up if I tried to go look at it right now. One of my older ones is pretty faded, though, as you describe, and I know one (my favorite "keeper" one) looks pristine. I think I have one more in storage, but don't remember exactly what it's like. I think it's okay and I have only the one faded one, but I haven't looked at the one in storage for a long time, so I'm not sure.


Vienna Sound - I really like the look of those widely-spaced bars over the grill on your Maro. Like the GF-9000, but almost "tougher" looking.
