Happy new year to all my friends...In late november I saw this radio on ebay...now you all know I love boxed units so this one came up and had alot of the original papers that came with it in really good shape so I put in a bid and won this item...But I really want to say I wish it was as simple as that...The seller really draged his feet in producing the unit he has it marked as shipped on ebay ...but in fact he didn't ship me the unit....so I sent him an email ...It took him 3 days to respond ....and he claimed he was delayed but item was guaranteed... So i let another 2 weeks go by and then that was it..I sent him along letter stating how i wanted my money back and that this was not the way to treat people..ect..so I finnaly open up a case on him...Well now he was more than willing to communicate with me ...how sorry he was for the delay and how he was gonna make this deal correct he also finnaly produced a shipping label with an air shipment plus a nice refund .....So with this all in place I lifted the case with ebay and waited for this box to come...Yesterday it finally arrived... I have to tell you the packing was horrible :annoyed: :annoyed: bubble wrap over the original box 1 layer of wrap over the radio and some news paper scrunched up inside the box ....But to my suprize it was all in tact so i pluged it in and the box worked ....some static in the controls just the usual stuff we all deal with when we get a box that hasn't been serviced in many years....So I took it alll apart cleaned all the plastic parts,deoxed all the swithes ,lubed all the sliders and reasembled...so all is good now ....Just wish the seller didn't put me through all this aggrivation but in the end all is well....here are the pics

If I received a box shipped like that, I'd have to psyche myself up for a couple of days before opening it.

What a trip man! Seriously, bubble wrap on the outside of the box?!?!wtf?!?! That is a nice looking sharp and its like brand new! Very cool man.

I still remember the day I first saw a 555. That night I couldn't sleep without having one like that. Double cassette was the next BIG thing then.

The power of accomodation of human eyes are amazing!. After seeing big booomboxes for a while, it all will appear much small later.

Now after getting a VZ2000 all my boxes looks small in comparison. I got spoiled!

That layer of bubble wrap is a joke! Only thing it would do is keep the original box from getting dirty fingerprints on it while in the shipping process...
Good thing its what you expected to receive!

I can't beleive it made it to the US in 1 piece (glad it did)...Just when i thought i'd seen it all
