Review:
This trashbox i got for free:
Brrrr, what kind of scrap!
Dirt and damage everywhere...
Screws are rusted and full of dirt.
But i got it open without more damage
Oh, the belt of the tapedrive is fallen off.
And it´s in quiet good condition
But many corrosion at the drive
Woha, look how they mounted the caps!
They burned it together...
Speaker, weak but working
Argh, what´s this???
The trafo must´nt have fitted, so they mounted it 45° with only one screw
Ok, taking out - with some dirt...
Taking the tapedrive out
Looks like, there have exist an better version with LED-meter
Clean the tapedrive as good as possible.
It works now, but the buttons stay not at it´s place
Ok, parting now all out
Take a first clean up
The most difficoult part was to get the scaledrive back to the right place
The whole life are out now
Original?
NO!
Taken out some old colorsprays and get it on...
Slowly coming together again...
Also the labels back at the right place
Insert the electronic life
Hard to glue the broken parts at the tapedoor, but every broken piece was inside.
Except the eject-clip.
There i must find a idea for it.
Also the backside, clean now
Ok, the first part is done
Here it is - and no longer nonamed!
Next will be to produce a scale and repair the eject.
And some more.
Economical? NO!
Beautiful? NO!
Original? NO!
But funny, crazy and a good training for real boombox repairs!
So - why not?
Part 2 comes when finished.
Hold the line...
