that our children will live in a world where boomboxes will not be judged by the color of their skin weather it's silver, black, gold, or even faux wood grain, but by the content of their internal components. (Oh, and how shinny new that skin and chrome are)
I have a dream...
That all boomboxes can find a home on our expanding shelving systems without the walls collapsing or house flooding, and that they always get the love they need, even if it's just a dusting because they are 3 deep behind that new box you just had to get.
I have a dream...
that our wives won't ever make us sell any boxes, see how much we overbid on ebay for the grail we bought after happy hour, or be home to see UPS show up with 3 massive boxes in 1 day even if we already have 5 of each model.
I have a dream...
That the seller with the unlimited supply of mint boomboxes in China with the rough translations doesn't ever screw me over like that one dude in Nevada did last year when buying via Craigslist.
I have a dream...
That shippers actually listen to our over the top packing demands and that our cases make it in one piece, that when the seller said it just needs 'belts replaced' he was actually correct, even moreso for that VZ2000 purchase.
I have a dream...
That the next estate sale or thrift store I go to will have an M90, C100, GF777, RX5350, and Discolite for sale at $20 per but the seller will accept $50 total if you buy all of them.
Free at last! Free at last!
Damn I wish I could get a boombox for free at last!

I have made friends and met those I would otherwise never have come in contact with because of this site. It still amazes me the joy this hobby has brought me during my life and continues to bring me. This site in large part is responsible for rekindling the fire I thought would be just a memory. I have more knowledge and have seen and heard more boomboxes than I ever could have dreamed. This site and this hobby is responsible for all of this and I am very thankful for that. As I write this I look around my boom-room at boomboxes I thought were a distant memory and some I never knew existed...I must pinch myself now because I must be dreaming......nope it's reality, a reality made possible by Boomboxery and Fatdog, so a huge thanks to you both!!

Dang Chris that's right on the money for me too, I drooled over the boxes I couldn't have and did it practically daily between the stores, catalogs, and brochures. Even with all that lust I had no idea so many cool boxes existed until I got in to this hobby years ago, I can only imagine how nuts I would have been about boomers 30 years ago had I known.
