So I know I'm a loser for not buying batteries for my M70, but damn. They're expensive. So, tomorrow is the BIG DAY and I want to TERRORIZE THE CITY. HOW LONG will my M70 last if I put batteries in it and run the tape deck? What about the radio only?

if you buy energizers or duracells you will get a lot more life than using cheaper batteries .the trade off is the cost of course : but i don't see why you can't get at least a good days use out of a new set of good expensive batteries , sucks i know. i put a new set of cheap batteries in a conion and got like 10 minutes use :annoyed: and i never wasted money buying good expensive batts for that damn conion to eat them up like tic tacs :'-( .

Well, I'd say it depends on what batteries you have. There are good ones, there are bad ones. Decent batteries will last quite a while. I've had my GF-777 bumpin' for hours and it's still ready to rock. When you're in the boombox business you will need a lot of batteries but you won't need two spare sets anywhere you go.

I use Varta Industrial batteries, they have 16500mAh.

I used to run Energizers in my M70, exclusively, after testing other brands. They would last almost the whole day and I never listened to the radio. Good luck!

...I use my M70 at the gym every day for a couple hours and it has lasted for over a month on Duracell Alkalines...I only use auxilliary input though.

I get ALLOT of use out of a set of batteries AND I have found which radios are battery HOGS and which SIP. I then can start in the HOGS and then trickle down the the sippers!

EXAMPLE:
My Lasonic TRC-920.....BIG PIG!

But after that radio say's "No More"

I can put them in my Realistic SRC-8 and the battery light doesn't even fade  I can run them ALLOT more in that radio.

Ultimately, all those D's end up going through my flash lights last after all the radios have had a shot at them.
