Well, while we hate these kinds of threads, it seems it's really sort of necessary to provide the motivation to get a transaction back on track. It's a shame really. Without continued prodding and public pressure, there apparently is insufficient respect for the fellow trader to do the right thing. Let's be fair, once 45 days have elapsed, a paypal buyer has no further recourse, and up the creek or SOL so to speak and understandably upset. Furthermore, trades (without paypal) is even more risky since we are relying on a gentleman's agreement and without recourse at all save public crying. Let's hope Peter's trading practices becomes more timely in the future. Boomboxery members owe it to each other to treat each other right in a transaction.

I received the boombox from Peter yesterday, Tuesday July 22. The parcel took 14 days to arrive from Germany. It was shipped 3 months after I paid for it. It was packed very securely wrapped in bubble wrap, loaded in peanuts and styrofoam. It was as described physically and it appeared in pictures. While unwrapping it, the eject button fell out and part of the plastic was broken. Not sure if this happened while shipping but I'll attempt a repair on it.
What I'm not thrilled about was the treatment that I received during this transaction. Peter lied to me on a couple of occasions about the dates when he shipped the box. Had it not been for some assistance from a good group of brothers here at Boomboxery (thanks guys, you know who you are)
I'm convinced that I would still be waiting for it to arrive. If I want to be screwed on a deal, I'll shop on EBay. If you want to screw a buyer, do us all a favor and don't sell your boxes here. From all I've read Peter has an amazing collection, which he sometimes chooses to sell from. He also has an invaluable resource of informed and dedicated consumers here at Boomboxery. But as the old saying goes "don't piss in your own pool". Treat your brothers like you would like to be treated.
I truly hope Peter turns things around and does the right thing by the folks who choose to do business with him. I hope that in the future he's a more reliable seller and communicates honestly and openly with his customers. I've had bad experiences with sellers before and I believe that people can change. I do know this: the next time there's a thread about Peter not shipping a box, I'll be reading it not writing it.

P.s. As I mentioned in a previous post this was the second box I owned as a kid (the first was a Qualimax 777 mini, which I've also been able to acquire). It really is nice to have the Goldstar home again, all frustration aside!

Well, I feel the opposite about eBay. if I DON'T want to get screwed, shop eBay & pay through the nose or risk this Mickey Mouse, irresponsible BS hipster crap!!!
I'm sorry. First, if you ask for a gift payjment & whine about PayPal fees as if the buyer should pick up the tab for the transaction, you will get a giant MIDDLE FINGER shoved up your nose. I don't care if you have the first M90 to roll off the line, I'll walk away.
Second, always demand an invoice for 'Goods' & clearly state the ITEM for sale & the TERMS of the sale. You send me a vague or incomplete invoice, I'll tell you to try it again sam, & get it right this time, or don't waste my time.
Third, once the sale reaches that magic 30 day mark, I'll msg you to tell you that if I don't receive it, within 48 hours, it's claim time, Batman....no excuses. You got some broken fingers, get your mom to help you type out a refund....you feel me BRO?!
Done.....no Blaster-Junk kindergarten games will fly with me, period....You deliver it within 30 days or you're an A-hole of the stinkiest kind, in my opinion. This community is a priveledge to be a part of. Don't F it up for the rest of us....
In other words, get your shiat straight, stop making outrageous excuses for not shipping & SHIP IT!!!!!
