Best VU meter or LED or LCD show in Boombox Town

What is the best meter boombox show? Best dancing LEDs boombox show? Best VU meters boombox show? With photos please.

I'm going to say the Sony FH-909R is a hard one to top. Sanyo PH-WCD800 honourable mention, impresses by placing the 5 band spectrum onto the cassette door.

The sharp gf 939z has a nice spectrum display.

I like the meters of the Silver ST-858 / ST-868 alot as the red LEDs have an 'afterglow' and fade slowly when the recording is too loud. No pics, sorry

My favorite.
The Pioneer SK-95.

Simple stereo LED VU.
But it works very smoothly, 12 LED dual color (Green & Red), Closely spaced and all LEDs glow brightly at uniform level.

It's hard to compare the old school boxes to the newer ones (late 80's on).
Most of the older ones were simple red LEDs.
Old school, it's hard to beat the SCR-8.

No, I bought some circuit boards from a local store and replaced the round LEDs with flat ones.
This is an old project and I'm not sure if I have any pictures left.

Simple 5 band LED. NICE! Is it just me, or is the JVC PC-55 missing exactly this? I mean...there is spot for it above the sliders and everything. Dropped the ball on this one JVC!
