LOL! Great story! I bet that marshall still tells people about your cone bulldozer moment....

I'd love to just have a dedicated, nicely overpowered rear-wheel drive track car... Even if its something like a Mustang or Beemer.
Luckily the massive adrenalin rush overwhelmed most of my embarassment  I actually spent most of my youth during the 70's and early 80's trekking round most the UK race circuits as my dad was an amateur racer at the time. That was back before the days of health and safety when as a little kid I could wander around the pit lane when the races were on. Also used to squeeze into the back of the race car and get flung around the circuits, tho clearly not when the races were on :w00t:

Still wonder how the hell he paid for his racing days as it was a way more expensive hobby than boomboxes!!

I drove a Mustang in the Arizona desert a few years back...that was good fun too...wouldn't object if someone gave me a Mustang or a BMW :-D

Did you drive both of those?

Sweet Cars

Nope, just they yellow one. Added the pic of the red one just because...

I did some poking around autotrader yesterday and a 2003-ish Modena sells for anywhere between $65-$85k, depending on condition... :hmmm: I think I need to have a massive liquidation sale! I might have better luck putting a V-8 into a Miata instead....

:)

Oh, Ferrari ownership seems like such a FUN idea, then you realize the mechanic get's $160-$200 PER HOUR plus some of the most expensive parts on the planet. The 360 is a car you can't even work on with out a Factory Computer to diagnose it. After spending $7000 doing a tune up and timing belt change on my car (1983 GTS) I would buy a Corvette next time around!

Rent one every time you get the itch....it's WAY CHEAPER ;-)
