Best day ever

Redbenjoseph came over today with his lovely wife to pick up the GF-1000.
Seeing the look on Ira's face when he saw the 1000 in person was priceless.
He about sharted his drawers.

We had a fun day and he had some great boxes in return for me restoring the GF !
I was blown away at what I got.

It was like Christmas for the both of us today.
We took the M-71 to the pool for some fun in the sun

And then had a delicious lunch back at the house.
I did some preliminary cleaning on both radios today and look forward to doing full restores on both.

Yeah man, they kick!! Even tho I've never heard the other big Lasonics, I assume they kick just as hard, if not harder due to their bigger case!

For the money they were going for back in the day, they couldn't be beat!

and - finally for the great day we had yesterday

the m71 looked and sounded SOOOOOOOO cool at franks pool

on the drive home --for about 1/2 hour --there was steady torrential rain
you know --the type of storm where nobody can see anything in front of them -
and all drivers have to pull over and wait --for their safety -

EXCEPT ME -

we just plowed thru it -- with the gorgeous gf1000 grail --FLOATING all over the open truck bed
but KNOWING --that frank did such a great job with his famed waterproof packing
NO PROBLEM
