Good! :)
And visible impression of the body - how it looks, like attention to details, all those knobs and buttons - is it on par with the original?
Does it create this feeling of "old good real Japanese electronics"?

Back in the day I remember "Made in Japan" was a symbol! :) A symbol of Quality, second to none.
The new version will not last as long as the original 777 .
But hey , it was not foreseen the originals would be held on for 40 years

We may not last for 40 more years, mate.. :) So who cares about injection molding plastic?;)

I am a kinesthetic so would love just to see if this BB 777 when you look at it, touch it, :)
push buttons, etc. would be feeling as a good old Sharp machine..
As it's pretty heavy then it's already a part of it feeling - "heavy is good, heavy is reliable.." :)

I have to let a box go when I get this and I think I know which one it's going to be. The BB-777 will replace the GPO Brooklyn in my collection when I get it.

Good choice. The GPO Brooklyn would get smoked left and right by the BB777. I mean it's not even close. Even the GPO Manhattan is better than the GPO Brooklyn.

As for whether the BB777 feels Japanese, well......Nobody makes the exact same pots, switches and flywheels they used back in the 80s. So certain details aren't going to feel exactly like a Sharp. But it still feels good to me. Better than the GPO, the Ion Deluxe, or any Taiwanese box like Lasonic or Helix.

Things like the bb777 is what the world needs right now . Even though I can't get one it's nice knowing they exist . I give credit to bump box for this incredible effort to do something that needed to be done but done the right way .its awesome !. I never thought I would live long enough to see something like the BB 777 brought to reality.

I am willing to bet Techmoan on YouTube will be getting one to review 8-) He is very thorough but I think he will be impressed when he reviews it. I can't wait until the kickstarter link is ready to take pre-orders. I am definitely onboard!

This biggest concern I have with this box is how I'm going to explain yet ANOTHER boombox to my wife.

I may end up living in the cardboard box it gets delivered in......
Oh I knew a guy that would take a bottle of Lord Calvert whiskey and lock himself in out house just to get away from his wife.

Maybe it's better to wait for his review before we buy it

From the very beginning, I've been wondering:
Which model would you choose if the Sharp company decided to revive
this boombox and make something similar to this ?
