I know photos can appear different on people's monitors but mine has just a hint of Blue. More a dark dark blue through the grill.

Another thing that I have seen up for debate is the VU meters. Some are yellow and some are Red in the top + end. I am a firm believer that they all were Red from the factory and the yellow ones are faded from UV....but that usually only kick-starts the debate rather than solving it.

Mine are Red to Redish/Orange so I am sure they have slight fading.

OK, looking on all the available info now I see that the cones were blue. Hopefully on the final device they would be more dark blue.

Does anyone know when the pre-order price for this changes? I'm a little weary to order it yet as someone from bumpboxx said to wait if you have a 777 on the way as there will be a discount in the box. Can anyone who's received theirs confirm this ?

I asked customer service and the reply was weird, but basically said no discount.

Your first photo (with the brick wall) I believe to be an accurate speaker color. It's a very distinct color. You can tell the Blue is in there but it's not the baby blue that some people paint their speakers. And the finish they put on the woofer cone adds just the right polish.

It seems that you are not allowed to publish any of the replies from bumpboxx for some reason but let's just say that if you're a kickstarter backer, I would wait until you get your 777 before pre-ordering the B90

I can only suggest you find someone with an M90 and look at the speaker in person. Your top photo is accurate. The bottom photo is too dark to see the actual speaker color. I have seen dozens of M90's in person. None ever had black speakers. 100% were blue. I'm referring to when they were new in the early 80's and since. All blue paper with silicone type coating. Hope this helps you.

I'm not sure why this is so hard to believe especially when numerous owners have verified it.
They start out blue and change to various colors if the radio is out in the light.
I haven't had any of my M90s unwrapped in at least 4 or 5 years so I don't know what they look like.
I hope my blue speakers are still blue, lol.

He's not saying the color didn't change, he's saying JVC wasn't responsible. They all started off as blue paper. What happened next was the owner's doing.

I have the New Wave Toys mini replica and they offered two versions to solve the "argument", just wish bumpboxx would do the same.

I believe the preorder price is the only discount there is. You can see the regular MSRP is 995/1095

There will be a special surprise or exclusive item included in the B90 package for customers who already have a BB777. So it’s a great idea to wait until your BB777 arrives to make sure you don’t miss out on that.
