Batteries - how to turn on

Hi Dears! I can't find any advice/manual how to use my VZ-V2 (Japan analogue of VZ-2000, you know) with batteries? Of course, may be that is broken, or maybe I have to switch something? Anybody knows?

Let me answer myself, for the record
That has to work without any buttons, so I have some issues in batteries' slot.

Try on DC too.
The only piece I know of which must be engaged is the switch underneath one foot, otherwise it will not turn on on any source.

I don't have an appropriate DC source, but anyway I'm planning to open that soon for belts' replacement and will check the battery compartment too.

Sure, I'll double check all, sometimes the source of an issue is so funny, you know.
