Bagged a box, but I never knew they were sprayed..

I restored a 9090 many years ago, my first full resto and had a dream of finding an outer box with the polys for it.

One came up on the Bay and as I have been working 7 day weeks, i decided I had earned it. Yes I overpaid for it, £35 but to me it was worth the money.

The reason for posting here was that I never realised they were painted gold. When new, these boxes must have looked so striking amongst the other boom cartons.

Anyway, its added to the repair list before my 9090 can be fitted to it. I assume the 9191 box was the same.

Having the box somehow completes the model. In most cases the box itself is rarer that the box itself. Great find!

I've been looking for the box for my Gold C-100 for a while. I imagine it will be ridiculously priced if I ever find one.

It actually calls out Gold on the box. Now that would be a rare find for me
