Well, I decided to do a little digging into the photos of the original for sale thread for this 550 in question & found something very interesting. I went to the TinyPic link for the rear panel photo, in the ORIGINAL for sale thread & blew up the size so I could get a better look.

Now, here is the photo blown up in IE & barely showing the cracks that Bad boy Bill mentioned. If you look closely, you can barely see the white lines of the crack in question. This would be clearly visible in person, especially to someone who works on & restores these radios. There can be no claim of ignorance without it being laughable.....

Now, here is the same photo but I traced the lines I can barely see in black for a better contrast but make no mistake the cracks were there & clearly visible when he sold the radio to Bad Boy Bill.
You guys can judge for yourselves but I couldn't just sit by & see a well established member who helped lots of guys with their restorations get jacked so I had to speak up. Like Bill, I could care less about anyone's approval of my LED mods & I have gotten some pretty caustic comments that no one else had to endure & I put some people in their place for their thread crapping but this is too important to get swept under the rug & so be it if I make more enemies for being honest & alerting others to the practices of some sellers. I can't stand sellers who refuse to disclose issues with a sale & then blame the victim if he/she tries to get some satisfaction from the purchase.
If I bought this radio for 2K, I would hope that the seller would be willing to fully disclose the condition without omission &/or make it right without the BS.
