After having it safely guarded By Our very own, FatDog, I now have this lovely girl back into My collection where she belongs. Thank You Bobby for taking good care of her for Me.The story on this C100F is that the original owner was an older lady in NY, who bought it new for playing Ballroom music for her and her husband's studio practices. It was never abused nor exposed to sun/rain, etc. The woofers were never strained as only Ballroom music was ever played through it. She said she needed a radio loud enough for them to practice dancing indoors. My friend Paul (who already owned two Conions) bought it from her, rebelted it, and sold it to Me. It's a real Sweetheart of a radio. I love it's history.

That's nice it was only used to play ballroom dancing music... No over-exertion of the bass woofers..
It still makes me laugh that people buy these "Ghettoblasters" and listen to some Classical or Jazz on them, different demographic I guess...

It's like buying an AK47, and using it to shoot squirrels in your yard...

well i hope it gets used to playing something heavier than ballroom music now!thats got to be the best boombox in the world in my honest opinion.....sure,i bet its not built like a brick **** house like slightly earlier boxes but you have to admire the shiny front and the light show that the c100 has....one day ill get one,one day,but until then im just happy to admire this one and other peoples c100's and take pleasure in hearing their enthusiasm for the c100  a lovely radio indeed
