I would say yes this is a plant that comes from the earth and not made in a lab like Pharmaceutical companies.

I know people are sensitive on this subject but remember if I'm correct Alcohol back in the 1700's was illegal. People in that era called it the witches brew adults even children would drink in the streets and crash right on the sidewalks in those times.

There even was a Congress man smuggling Alcohol through ships kinda reminds you of those guys on speed boats back in the 80's.

Now if those people were to witness how in this era alcohol can be bought everywhere for example like a Pharmacy store they would not believe it!

It's all about educating people not to abuse it.

Besides marijuana does have it's plus side such as drinking it as Tea it cleanses your inner body also good for people under Chemo therapy, Anxiety, weight loss you name it.

Alcohol believe it or not it is the number one killer in DUI's and Alcohol poisioning!

Pharmaceutical is second and no one till' this day has been prosecuted. :hmmm:

alchohol was illegal during prohibition as well and that was a lot more recent than the 1700s.

I did some research and found that it was in the late 1800's.

I always watch the History channel and there was a documentary on the subject.

It is amazing how far Alcohol has come to be legal for consumption in which I don't have a problem with. It's the Government that erks me when they say something is bad for you and people tend to follow through.

They once criticize the Mafia when they are just as bad for example we the people bailed out the banks and what we get in return higher credit card rates the monetary system which are the Government and banks are worse than the loan sharks!

Everything is a game for these G-men! :annoyed:

Well Question 5 is to ammend the already passed medical marijuana policies of Maine. Its to make it much safer and easier for patients to obtain the marijuana. Make non profit medicinal dispenseries where it wont cost the tax payers a dime. Issue state ID cards for the said patients so that they can display it to law enforcement officers who think they made a simple possesion bust. In my opinion a win-win situation for both parties pro and against medical marijuana.

I agree that only adults should be able to even think about taking marijuana wether for medical or recreational use. I also agree that it ought to be taxed so that the individual states that had the balls in the first place to pass the medical marijuana ininiative can reap the fincial benefits. Marijuana has already taken over as the #1 cash crop of California. Natrually I'm against blazing up and getting behind the wheel of a car. Unfortunatly there does not exist a breatherlyzer to test for immediate blood levels of THC (Pyschoactive ingredient of marijuana). Finally I also believe in no way should the hard-core man made chemical drugs like cocaine and herion should ever be used and or legalized.

Further more, its ideally a losing situation for Big Tobacco and the alcohol industry because I'm sure less people would tend to reach for a drink or cigarette if able to enjoy a smoke without fear of persecution from Johnny Law. The irony is that with legalized and regulated marijuana, crime would drop because it would take away the extremely profitable value of the illegal smuggling trade of possessing/using it.

It really is an issue of individual state laws and the federal government to stay of its business. It's all basic constitutional rights.

Agree with me, or agree to disagree. The constitution shoudlnt be messed with.

weed being illegal makes as much sense as this did

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prohibitio ... ted_States

i do not smoke weed.
i do not do any kind of drugs with the exception of caffiene.

aspirin kills people
tylenol kills people
dxm kills people
not to mention the tens of thousands of deaths caused by other prescribed drugs.

i dont think for a second that pot is as harmful as any of the opiate based painkillers. it sure as hell is a lot less addictive.
