Effing seated pedestrians, they should be taxed, insured, registered and have valid test certificates just like the rest of us if they want to use the roads! As it is, the absence of any form of compulsory testing means that bicycles can be in a potentially dangerous state and their drivers will still not be subject to prosecution for this.

There were some pictures on Look North of a bunch of them having an horrendous crash as they rode through the crowds in Leeds on their way to Harewood. Oh how we laughed! ;-)
Did you know that if you're breathalysed and found drunk in charge of a bike, you're automatically banned from riding a horse on the public road for a period of one year. It's an old law that was never updated to take into account the invention of the car. I can just imagine those lycra-clad buffoons pissing it up in the Tan Hill and then wobbling off into the night oblivious to the trail of carnage they leave in their wake.

Not a cyclist yourself then John eh? Lol :-) There have been loads of them in the area for weeks all trying to do the course...getting in the way when I'm trying to drive my tractor or tow my caravan lol ;-)

 Honestly, I bear them no specific harm, in spite of how the previous post might have made it appear, and my previous HOD at work was a mad keen cycling type who would ride in, then come in to breakfast meetings wearing his stinky, mud-spattered lycra girly shorts before going for a bath, which he really ought to have had before breakfast. He's a bloody nice bloke as it goes, just hopelessly misguided. OK, so his home is in a place where there's no regular bus, but Tomos mopeds are available again and they're cheap, so why on earth would any sane human being want to drive a vehicle with no engine? It's just plain wrong! ;-)

And as for what the seated pedestrian fraternity do with bananas   , do not get me started..
