I can't believe how monstrous that thing is! (Yeah yeah, that's what she said)

I love the idea of replacing "bumpboxx" with "boomboxery"

I ordered those same LED strips...one in red and one green. Gonna wrap them around the tablet in the center and cover with tinted plexi glass.

Anyone else's tweeters start clipping at 60-75% volume on bluetooth?

And my bumpboxx doesn't pickup any radio stations where all my other radios including the DJ Tech will get.

I don't own a Bumpboxx but I did get a chance to hear two of them at the last Venice meet. The two that were there could not pick up any FM signals. Chris was playing music through a very high powered FM transmitter (with a 5 mile radius) located in his car about 25 away. All the classic radio where picking up his signal but neither Bumpboxx could!

I believe someone fixed that. The antenna wire was not connected to the speaker basket like it should have been.

The FM tuner is poor on those things - (from all the reports from owners). Having a wire antenna that sits inside a wooden box full of electronics and magnets wouldn't be doing the tuner any favours.

I read somewhere where someone was going to install a proper external telescopic boombox antenna to improve things.

I will have to do something with the FM for sure. Also, there is only an auto search for the stations that only starts at the beginning of the tuner scale every time you push the search button. No way to manually tune to any station you want.

Maybe we never have one on our monthly Boombox Meetings.

Cheers.

Moved the antenna wire and mounted it to the handle bolt. This allowed for the scan to lock 30 stations but they are all inaudible static :-(.

Joe those tweeters look like they have interchangeable lenses which means you can unscrew the Tweeter base from the lens and then put it on a different one.

Thankfully I never plan on using my Bumpboxx for FM radio. I always have a USB plugged in. Also Joe you can't use EQ function with bluetooth. I haven't noticed any clipping but I really don't use bluetooth much...a thumb drive and the remote do it for me.

So you have excessive clipping on Bluetooth mode and a non-functional FM tuner?!

There seems to be many, many happy Boombox buyers out there - maybe your unit is faulty Joe??

Joe that antenna wire is way too short .I would add an external antenna or extend the antenna wire, preferably something outside the box because the mdf is probably blocking the signal.
