Right, congrats. But offering when the bin was far more than reasonable, a steal possibly even isn't a risk I would've taken. More often than not, I'd have lost out to a bin while waiting and kicking myself (hard) afterwards.

In general, I have no problem with this but I think that you should first ask for permission.

Sure, no problem, sorry, will ask you next time, buddy. I did that only for the info purposes, for the sake of my hobby pals who have no knowledge of English thus not visiting s2g or Boomboxery, they being stewed in their own juice, shall we say.
BTW, I am absolutely fine, even encourage if somebody is using my pics as long as they are not doing that for commercial purposes or claiming them as their own. That's all. Without sharing information any hobby forum is half-dead.
If for every pic found in the net I had looked for whom I should ask first for permission to repost I would have reposted maybe only dozen pics in 2 years.

He's not out to make money off your pic, just share a revelation of a box I never knew existed..

Same here, JC.. If I happen to bump into my pics/reviews in the Google search occasionally or seeing them mentioned/reposted somewhere I feel a sort of childish pride sometimes.
In turn, If I see pics/a hobby story which is I feel would be interesting for my pals if they had knowledge of language I am trying to take time to translate that.
The same goes for pics shared by my hobby pals. And they know that I'll never claim their ones being mine.
Having my 20-30 boxes without opportunity to share knowledge about them, share pics, well, even brag about them is almost nonsense for me, simply a waste of money, time and space.
