There are tons of helpful guides on fixing any part of a boombox (mind boggling techniques like welding a broken plastic gear wheel with a soldering iron!), but I could not find any clue about repairing a broken telescopic antenna.
Just wondering are there any geniuses who are successful in repairing broken aerials. A missing tip or a segment of the aerials are one of the most likely faults with most boxes.
I would like to know is there a reliable way to insert a segment or a tip (from a new or donor antenna) into the broken tip of an antenna for fixing it. Often it is difficult to find replacements of the same length. I would love to keep the original base and have the tip from a replacement.
Thanks in advance!
