Heyya kids, =)

What's crackin' box addicts? Just got another grail from eBay & BBY member jameswp67. It's in good cosmetic shape, except a few obvious blemishes. It's fully working, although full of grime & a couple of ink? stains/scuffs but the tuner/VU/Cassette windows are all OK & should polish up well.

I'll have to go over to the eBay & BBY member feedback area & post some positive reviews for James. Apparently, he spent some money to rebuild the unit back to fully functional & he shipped it super fast, so I'd rate him as solid from my limited experience, buying from him.

More pics to follow soon:

I forgot to add that aside from the finish needing a refresh, there are absolutely no deep scratches, gouges, cracks or missing pieces. All lines, including the fine ridges. along the bottom of the face are intact & perfect. There is absolutely no dings or worn corners & the chrome is in great shape, as well as the knobs & switches. Everything needs a good clean & polish whiles some spots could use a repaint but actually, that's a good thing as it shows that everything is original & not rebuilt with bondo, etc.

All pots & controls are smooth as silk & static free. The FM selector is a bit flaky & can cause sound to cut out in 1 or both channels but a slight wiggle brings it back in line. Radio reception is a bit weak for stereo but all in all, a good solid buy.

Cheers,

Antennas are FUBAR'd so am looking for replacements. Top trim is dented & needs a replacement. Already lined up possible source for a replica trim. A little pricey but should be OK.

The plastic & chrome is shining up nicely & so far, no serious pits or peeling. Th controls were cleaned thoroughly & reassembled. I need to get the cassette door off to properly polish the window. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Thanx,
Cpl

Thanx man, :-D

It'll be another challenge to come up with something unique, yet again but I already have ideas brewing in the pot. We'll see how the 'stew' comes out.
