shipping destruction sucks!

But this box is worth to save it.
Hope you can fix it.
Maybe you can find a spare case? :hmmm:

True this! Save the box. That's a huge split, but once glued, you will see that any remaining crack can be covered with some bondo. What a shame tho. These GF-777 boomboxes seem to often get damaged on the corners from shipping. This means beefier packing is needed there! Btw, how was the packing job anyway?

Let that seller know that I would consider buying it. If he says he will sell it to me, I will give you my contact info to give to them.

That bites!
Makes my damage look like a scratch.
You'd be surprised how hard it is to see the cracks once glued.
I recon it would still be rescueable!

Just BRUTAL. I've gotten to the point now where I am just sick to my stomach when there is a radio being shipped. Gives me an F'n ulser :annoyed:

Although the 777 isn't what you would consider a "Rare" radio, every time this happens, they get a little rarer indeed!

I could use an antenna if your going to part it out :-P

A few weeks ago i had the same experience overhere in Holland..I orderded a box from an auction site..a very nice TOKYO boombox in perfect condition and when i received it it was completely damaged.. one corner was broken off and there was a big tear over the right corner from the box. It was for sure that somebody had trown the box with great force down on the ground...I cant understand why people do this..is it a kind of jealouzy..or..what is it???

Damn it all to hell, at least you had a cooperative seller.

If we keep buying, selling, and shipping boxes how long before there aren't any big boxes left? :hmmm:

yepper, and then there were none

:-D bklyn sound, I have a lot of boxes in a storage in N..Y.C. in Manhattan so if u are looking for a particular one or just want to see what I have and u decide what u want, And we discuss pricing, The best part of this is that we get to meet and you can come and pick it up and take it home without worrying about the box getting damage.
