Its just madness. But if you can hold it together, this time with the family can be a special memory. If your wife doesn't strangle you!

SERIOUSLY, good luck bro.

So where are you parking your rig? Power, Water, Internet?

It's parked at my in-laws house in their driveway.

I installed a 30a RV power outlet on the house. We have water hook up for washing but won't use the toilet simply because I would hate to be using that for long term knowing I would have to empty it somehow every handful of days.

We go inside the house for the bathroom, my kids clothes, my wifes clothes. 100% of my daily items are in the camper but I did have to put my radios in the basement on the bar for safe keeping.

I will tough this out as long as I possibly can simply because every penny we can save now is just that much better for us no matter what house we buy. I added everything up for house related bills, the last monthly car payment we made, and the last monthly medical bill payment from my knee surgery, the total comes to $1900 pr month we should be putting in our savings. I will try even harder during these times to not buy dumb shiat we simply don't have a place for and hit that $2k saved each month. Part of me hopes living in the camper drags out for 6 months because that should net us $10-12k in the bank that we saved.

Cool man, I wasn't sure if you were going to have to bounce from camp site to camp site or something like that. At least you have a real bathroom and moral support from your family and visiting rights with your radios :-D .

I think you got this bro. I think a year from now you'll be singing a sweet song!

There is a local campground that has the seasonal "host" site where someone gets to stay the entire summer for free, electric, water hook up, on a sewer site. I called to get setup there with our camper and they have a waiting list of hosts for this campground so we couldn't get that spot.

Yeah, that would have been the sweet set up.

Signing the house over to the new owners today. It's a done deal.

Trailer life is interesting.

Seriously one of the more crazy moving stories I've heard.

But honestly we almost thought we'd end up in my dad's trailer for a while there.

Still might if we decide to buy a bare piece of land and build.

It is a mentally tough thing to go through. I don't know if it is depression or just lack of appetite from being stressed out but I have some weight dropping off of me. Down about 10# the last 3-4 weeks, but it's ok because I'm easily 30# over weight anyway.

We are starting to get a rhythm down and settling in the best we can. Still no word on the house we have the offer in on.

I did creep past our old house this weekend to see it lit up like a xmas tree and the new owners moving in. Sad to watch after all the time we had there.
:'-(

Dude that really bites ass, I sure hope you can hang in there and get some movement at the bank soon. Got any space to work on boxes?

Think of it this way Joe, all the wonderful things you did to that house....all the time you took and care and details is now being loved and respected by another family who will raise their children in a beautiful environment. THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR WIFE.

I have all the confidence in the world that in the near future, you will be able to look back at this and reflect on how it was a learning experience. All part of life.

Dude, I hear you. I'm not in a trailer (well.... it's a double-wide so...) but we just sold our house in March, been renting this place so we could sell ours. Now the lease is up in 2 weeks, and they still haven't told us if they're going to sell to us, or keep renting it, in which case we aren't going to. So, although I've asked, with no answer, we're trying to hunt for a house fast, as we don't know where we'll be living come two weeks.

During the course of selling our house to now, I've been stressed, loss of appetite too. And without any exercise, lost about 15 pounds. I wasnt overweight (6'4" 210), and now weigh 195, which is about my high school weight 13 years ago.

I don't know exactly how you're feeling, but I do feel for ya man. You'll get through this and continue to climb on.

One of our cats passed away last night......

Lucky was a good black cat. 17 years old, he had a good run.
