you can now get a excellent clone of rolands tr808.
looks like this is going to be a real winner for this little company.

Bill, do you have a link? If not too terribly expensive, I'd love to have one. I regret that I sold my TR-808 years ago.

EDIT: Never mind. I just found the price. 800 EUR (1,142.46 USD). :'-( :'-(

I'll stick with my Roland R-8 and electronics sound card.

the price on it is going to go down in the next while i think.
i think this is a pretty amazing device and i think the price is not that horrid when you consider what a used 808 brings now.

your r8 with the dance card is no slouch of a drum machine either. one of the best rompler drum machines of them all i think.
