A Really Bad Thing Haapened!:(

Hi,I just had a really bad thing happen to me tonight! :sad:

I just got done mowing and came in to cool off
and wash my face & stuff.
Well I was sweating alot and had just washed
my face and was entering my bedroom where
the beginning of the wall of boom was.
I couldn't see well and my precious GF-9797E
was up top and a mint M-60 in front of it-well,
I brushed my hand against the 9797 and I heard
a dreaded crash of the 9797 falling onto my mattress!! :-O
Well the M-60 fell onto the 9797 and cracked the
lens and brokenthe handle retaining plastic restraints
inside where the handle slips into busted also! :no:

Luckily the M-60 suffered no damage but my pride &joy
9797 has a a couple of cracks I'n it's window now!!

I'm so damn lucky that it didn't hit the soft metal facia
or crack the case.
Just the volume knob has a broken back where
it slides on the pot.
Also no interior damage other than the handle slide area.

I about started to cry!! :'-( :no:

I now need a plastic window cover for my GF-9797! :no:

I'm taking down 1section of The Wall Of Boom!!
No more of this **** is going to happen!!!!!!! :nonono: :sad:

If anyone can help a wounded box,I could use
a 9797 window and maybe a volume knob.
I may be able to fix that ok though.

I hope things get better-I'm having a suoer bad week!!!!! :sad: :'-( :no:

The only real part I need is the tuner window.

I should be able to fix the volume knob ok.
But a mint one would be better.
Just again so lucky that the metal or grills or case
or insides didn't break!! :yes:

Having to be more careful and TAKE DOWN THAT
SECTION!! So this doesn't ever happen gain!!

I know a person who can custom make the dial glass for you. :yes: :yes:

It took me an hour to track this information. :yes: :yes: I had to go through my tube radio repair files to locate it. After all that I found the same information in my outlook contacts.

Please contact Mark. He is such a nice guy. He can custom make dial for your GF9797. He has several thickness acrylic sheets to make the type you are looking for. He might ask you to send him the broken dial to take exact measurements.

I just have to be more careful,the boxes are to
close to the entrance to my bedroom.

Sorry man. The heart, really sinks, when something like this happens. It`s like, one of your family getting hurt (almost). It`s like, the feeling you get, when you over clean a box, and, the lettering comes off.
