Just got a beautiful Mini Panasonic RX-FW20 in like new condition.

Pictures to follow soon. It has Ambience feature and got 4W/Channel power output, sounds very nice on radio, tape and line in. I am very impressed with the sound of this little guy.

Poor lighting made pic look very bad...will post better pics later.

The last pic is from the net....

Good catch.

But no Bass/Treble controls :hmmm: . Can see only a Graphic Equalizer!
Exceeds the boombox spec .

The equalizer works well like we have on the RX5350.
So we get the desired bass treble control.
This got also a 5 band equalizer. :-D

All pots are clean. The owner kept it in his glass cabinet so no dust even on the exterior. I am waiting to open it up and replace belts.

This would have been an expensive item on the Duty Free Shops for sure! :-D
It is a great show piece!

The F version got only Volume and Treble control and no 5 band equalizer. Mine got the 5 band equalizer.

Now that's a very pretty wee thing!
Sounds crystal clear...no distortion even at 3/4 of the volume. Very cute and beautiful little box.

Equalizer adjustment is nice too. :-D

It got very nice speakers! It uses a DC power plug. :-D

Panasonic did a nice job with their mini's and this is no exception. It's as if they wanted to pack as much into a small package as they could make affordable.

Nice score!

Freddie, That is correct! This looks so nice.
The finish is SUPER! I've never ever seen a plastic with this kind of smooth finish with absolutely no flaws! IPhone kind of finish! Find it hard to take my eyes from this Slim Boombox Beauty!

It might go to my curio cabinet! :w00t:

Yes it does have an auxiliary input. That is the first thing I was searching for. The first picture shows it. I will post more pictures tomorrow!

Nice job Royce!
Thanks Arom! It is a show piece!
I never knew they made plastic so smooth shining like a mirror with no flaws at that time. The finish is like what you see on latest flat screen TVs black plastic edges/rims.

Slightly ahead of its time! Typical superb Panasonic quality. I bought one of these brand new in 1987 at wall to wall sound and video store for $119. It was a back up radio for me to complement my Panny RX-5085 that I bought in 1982. I remember playing the crap out of Heart's "bad animals" tape on it riding in the back seat of my 1984 Chevy Chevette. Great radio until I let my friend borrow it, and it got stolen out of his car. Yes....great find for sure man!

I can't think of ever seeing an EQ mounted sideways before. Interesting.

At 19.4 inches long, can that still be considered a mini? Maybe a Mid-Mini :hmmm: :-D

Me too!
It was the first time seeing one like this with the best quality sound and finish!
8 Watts total power output is not bad at all for a small Mid-Mini like this one. :-D
No distortion even at 3/4 volume (I didn't want to go any higher..) on FM and line in....and Ambience!

The one here....got no equalizer..
