A day out with the Panny 5050

Hi all, it's been awhile. Anyway, today was the perfect weather here in Logan, WV, so I decided to go for a little walk. One of the places I hiked to was the cemetery that's on the hill behind my house. Of course, one of the best places to enjoy a boombox is the great outdoors, so my boombox of choice today was my Panasonic RX-5050. I sat down at my grandfather's grave, popped in the cassette of Cinderella's Long Cold Winter and enjoyed. Afterward, I tuned into FM 107.3 K-ROCK from Charleston, WV. It was a nice little walk!

Unfortunately, I never did actually get to meet this grandpa, for he died in 1978 (heck, that's even a few years before the 5050 came out). Still, he was my grandfather and I still go to his grave every now and then.

Panasonic RX-5050. By far, the BEST small to mid size 1980s boombox for sound clarity, and loudness. It will beat up many larger boomboxes and it's much lighter and easier on batteries. You don't always need 47 watts of power usage like the M70 to get the job done. Panasonic gets it done with 22 watts.
