I'm well aware of the fact that this may be a waste of perfectly good data. That said, I got this radio for my 8th birthday from my Uncle Butch in MD. This thing went everywhere (literally, everywhere) with me. I used to attach it to the handlebars on my Haro with electrical tape and ride around town blasting GNR. Dad finally took it away after one too many fistfights with my younger brother (we often fought over the Sanyo and his little GE). I can't remember if he smashed this one or the GE, but once Dad got his hands on it, there were no more fights (over boomboxes, at least).

Now we each have the little blasters from our childhood - My brother with his GE 3-5622A and me with my Sanyo M7024A.

I showed a couple of childhood friends the Sanyo and they immediately remembered it. I think it got a better reaction than my C-100. Funny how nostalgia works.

This one's in really good shape and a great candidate for yet another Superduper Line-In Mod.

Thanks guys, and Merry Christmas! :santa:

Lots or memories are attached to boomboxes we had at that time.

I am still looking for a Panasonic RF5310.
That started the Panny love!
It is a beautiful mono with great looks that I had back then.
I loved the speakers grills and the green letter dials.

Thanks guys!
It's not exactly super-desirable, but I have so many fond and hilarious memories with this box.

Well, it cleaned up great! It was in good shape to begin with, so it wasn't a surprise. I went through it like I would with any "big-money" classic.
I like working on the small boxes because I can wash them in the sink, rather than the tub, so it really saves the back.

I'll call it a cosmetic 9.3 out of 10, and it functions like the day it was built.

I'll deal with the line-in when I return from my FL trip in a couple of weeks.

I can't wait to show my Dad this afternoon. :-D

Finally got it Aram!
Jerry, I had to stay up until 9:50 p.m. That's like the middle of the night for me!

Good job Aram!

In my case I stay awake till 4:30AM when I work on boomboxes.
I want to wake up with a smile and see it all working.

I hope that you'll find your RF5310 very soon

BTW, Max has offered me one RF5310 a while ago. It has even the door sticker. You should PM him about the panny!
