80s Boombox needed for music video shoot 1st April in NY

Can anyone help... We are shooting music video in NY on 1st April, it theme is 80s thru to present day b-boys. I desperately need to beg, steal or borrow/rent an authentic 80s boombox for the shoot. It will not be played but we do need a monster of a boombox that would have been synonymous with early breaking. Can anyone help? We are hitting New York on Tuesday 27th March (evening) so if there is someone in the NY area that would be willing to rent or lend us something suitable I would be eternally grateful.

One of the NYC area members should take advantage of this :-D . I have been doing a lot of work locally with my boomboxes for over 1 year now, and i have lots more vids & shoots coming up with different artists. It is so much fun, if you're working with the "right" people! :thumbsup:

You fellas MUST take some pics of the shoot for the rest of us here. This could be fun. Shoot a video of the video shoot :w00t: Or better yet, get BadBoyBill to shoot a video of the Video. Okay, my head hurts now :dunce: Too much thinking again :annoyed:

:agree: I will be carrying the "throw away" this day. Let's see what we can do as far as pictures go. "Julez" said we can be in the video carrying our own radio's so nothing happens to them. We'll keep you guys in the loop as it gets closer.

Well today came and went. I went by myself with my PROMAX J1 Jumbo that they asked me to bring. I wasn't gonna go but I didn't want to regret not going. Let me tell you: I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER!!!! Met Flo and he was a true Hip Hop afficionado. He was as excited as I was when we met. Met his wife and she was great as well. I felt welcomed and comfortable with them using the radio. They did they're thing as I watched over taking an insane amount of pictures with my SLR snapping away and the iPad taking videos that I had posted up on Facebook. (Jr Olaya on FB). If your rolling with Fatdog on FB then you got to see what I posted up. I made some new friends like Crazy Legs from the Rock Steady Crew, Team Supreme Crew and some other guys to boot. I can't post up any pics because the SLR takes pictures too big to post. I won't forget today.

I would enjoy seeing a pic or two..! If it's easier to email them to me, I could reduce the size and post em up..?
