stormsven, YES! The European Ford Mondeo is the brother to the Ford Contour!!!

They stopped making Ford Contours in the year 2000 but they still build the Ford Mondeo and I would kill to have a 4 wheel drive Mondeo wagon!!!! :breakdance:

I have a set of Mondeo Morette headlights I am trying to integrate onto my Contour  .

Vortex engines are prone to having bad intake gaskets!! This is a known
problem,I will stay away from those for the most part.
I like my 87' 5.7!!

If you take care of these engines like I believe Joe has and change
your antifreeze regularly and don't best on em' bad then you can get
A long ways without major problems.

I like the.chevrolets!! I've had tons of them cars and trucks and
still have 2 cars and a truck now-well GMC truck!! :-)

Yeah Grand nothing,my friends wife has one and it's nothing to brag
about even when it's working! :-O

Thanks. Actually we are using dirty green 4x4 wagon for buying parts and so car for all. They are damn cheap around here. Perfect small work horse though. Damn Morette lights are way to expensive for any car  . Love em actually

Here are my MK1 Mondeo Morette's. Only problem as of now is that these Morette lenses are setup to be on a RIGHT HAND DRIVE mondeo, and the Contour is a LEFT HAND DRIVE. The optics in the main driving lenses are aiming in the wrong direction  . I can't find a set of LEFT HAND DRIVE Morette lenses anywhere in the USA and EURO companies won't ship to USA  .

The lenses and the entire Morette surround are too tall. They smash between the hood and the bumper so I need to modify the entire thing. It also doesn't just "bolt in", so I need to figure out a way to mount them :annoyed:  .

The shape of the top of the Morette follows the shape of the contour hood pretty nice, but you can see it's tight to the bottom of the hood and it is touching the housing  .

!994 Silverado 4x4 extended cab, short box. 175,082 original miles. In the 16 years I have had it, all I've had to do is the brakes, oil, tune ups, and put a battery, starter, & altenator in it!

It may sound strange, but even with all the BS I have gone through with my Chevy's, I am seriously thinking of buying another one :-/

I'm a Chevy guy through and through....I've had many of them over the years, 1959 Impala, 1964 Chevelle SS, 1989 Cavaler Z24, 1995 S10 PU, 1995 S10 Blazer, 2000 Escalade.

Maybe it's time for a Camero :w00t: :-D
