Hey Boomboxery, Im just wondering if anyone has investigated 3D printing for spare parts? I keep seeing posts about small plastic gears n stuff falling apart and had a thought.

If somone is any good with CAD I can get access to a 3D printer and print the parts. You supply the CAD files (cause Im crap with CAD!) and I can help with the print.

Anyone interested?

well there ya go- its already happened!

Nicely done, A+ for effort.

I really like how now 3D printing is getting some steam the spare parts market is gonna open right up. I can remember how much I used to pay for stuff and it was just a rort. I dont know how youd print a pinch roller though- being rubber n all.

I could fabricate a boombox from steel but it would be heavy as hell! If I made it from loghter material it is more likely to warp.
