i hate to say it but that fisher is the biggest pos iv'e ever seen , i mean any emerson is built better than that thing is and that fisher looks worse than 40 miles of bad road even if it was brand new it would not matter ,that box is whats known as a fisher FAIL ! the other two are halfway decent looking but nothing i would want ,oh well at least they were free l.

the extra dumb part is that i should have expected this --
my OLD friend is about 80 years old

and knows nothing about this stuff --

then he spent some good funds on LOTS of bubble wrap -
and about 50 bucks for UPS ground

and --of course - i emailed him with my sincere thanks for the try -

this is the best case for 'its the thought that counts' syndrome

Hey Ira-These are right up your alley!!
The Panasonic,the first one looks alright-I have one like that that is mint and works 100% but is hidden on my computer desk.
Now Ira,you know there are maybe good belts or speakers to take out-didn't you get any parts off of them before you dumped them?
I'll bet even the belts were shot but you should look for good parts or better yet-blow one up or start it on fire while it's moaning!!
