2nd Local Panasonic find this year!

On epay last night looking at a Panasonics, then see a listing for an RX-C45 with a $50 BIN + $10 shipping.. I remember Jimmyjimmy always saying they had a great sound, so I was thinking I should pull the trigger.. Then I see the location is only 30 miles away! Messaged the seller, told him I'd give him $40 cash and pick it up the next day..
Well, I got it today..and it's nice! Even the tape deck works great!

Wow, what a great example you've scored there!! They usually pull decent money on EBay - $50 with local pick up is a great deal particularly with the very rare Users Manual.

They're not a super loud box but the low-medium level bass is certainly unique! The line in works great too. I actually have to lower the earpiece volume a couple of notches as to not max out the LED level indicator.

P.S Try the poly fill on the speaker boxes - it gets rid of any 'boxy' sound the thin walled cabinets produce.

not yet man , wish i had one though . i saw a nice rcx 45 on ebay for cheap but i'm too poor to buy it. i use mine for the radio and line and it does a great job.

It's "in good nick" as they say, but the volume slider slot has 2 rounded grooves on each side of the slider.. My guess is that someone put some screws in there to keep the volume in a set position..? Maybe they had it in an office setting, because its about at "conversation level".. The volume would have to be a little higher if it were behind the counter in a convenience store me thinks.. View attachment 22440

Found another Panasonic yesterday at a thrift! Said $5 and found a Symphonic too for $4..but, when I took em to the counter..the lady said they were 1/2 off! So, I got these 2 basic boomers for less than 5 bucks..
They aren't something to write home about, but they will make great work radios.. Plus, if they happen to get lost or fall and smash into a million pieces, I'm not out that much.. hey, even the antennas are straight!

I don't think I ever posted about my 1st Panasonic find this year, it was just a month or two ago.. Found an RX-5100 at an Antique store.. Even though its just a basic Tone box, I love it.. Everything works! great condition too..
