Wow, sometimes things happen faster than you realize.
So, this is it - my 2000th post (holy crap, twothousandth post).
I remember 3 years ago when my 3 months old CD egg broke and I decided to get something old school.
After browsing eBay for weeks, I finally had the balls to win a Crown CSC-935. I loved it and then I suddenly was infected with the boombox virus.
one of my first posts here was "WANTED: Sharp GF-777 or Sharp GF-1000"
What I received were of course posts like "Get in line" since I was an absolute newbie asking for two holy grails
.
One dude here PMed me his phone number though and when I dialed it, I spoke to good old Peter for the first time and I was in shokc to hear of someone with a storage full of boomboxes.
As the months went by and the number of my posts here increased, I got more and more boomboxes, more and more knowledge and got to know more and more people.
A few of those people became good friends not only related to boomboxes (You know who you are
).
Well, and I discovered that with the right attitude and devotion, it is possible to accquire (without being cocky) one of the greatest collections worldwide.
When I look to my right now, I see so many dreams come true but most important so many great stories connected to each box.
After all it is so much more than collecting vintage elctronics. It's a lifestyle that really did influence me and who I am today.
Well, long story short. I am happy to be in the place I am right now
