i need tips on how to paint a boombox so i can still see all the text on it.

I have a Sony TC-FX311 deck that records only on the right channel. It plays great and when recording the VU meters for both sides light up as they should. When monitoring a recording with headphones plugged into the deck I can hear both channels as well, this would seem to rule out problems...
