So I spend a lot of time watching and learning from people who do repairs. I watch shango066, retro recipes, the 8-bit guy, adrian's digital basement, mend it mark and joes classic video games and Vice Grip Garage. On the non-repair side, I like to watch The Proper People while they explore abandoned places and I like to watch people explore things that are off limits to the public.

What do you guys watch? I am trying to get more content to satisfy my YouTube itch.

Big fan of VGG! I love Derek's personality. Very close to my own. I love to work on my cars and do 90% of the maintenance or repairs to all of my cars/ trucks.
If you're looking for auto repair videos my suggestion is :

South Main Auto - Eric O is amazing and details every move and step in diagnostics.
Tyrell's Classic Workshop- Found this while working on my 78 MGB. Just check out his garage and what he works on!
FordTechMakuloco- Because .....Ford

Other subs I enjoy...
74 Gear- I love to fly, What can I say!
Just Planes- Just like it sounds
Tod's Video Games and More - 80's arcade restorations step by step.( I have an old Defender game I'm planning on restoring when I retire)

I watch youtube sometimes for repair on boxes and motorcycles just to check the easiest way to get things done.
And watching people hitting the sound barrier with their bikes

The last couple of years I've been watching people reacting to older music for the first time.
It's usually younger people (of all ethnicities) reacting to bands like The Beatles, The Carpenters, Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Elvis, etc.
The general consensus is that music was better in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s which is true.
I also find it interesting to watch DUI videos.

I wonder how you cannot know AC / DC though
I know, even if they somehow never heard it on whatever radio they listen to it's been in movies (Battleship, Iron Man 2, The Longest Yard, Daddy's Home, Deadpool 2, Varsity Blues and others).
Seriously, The Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, etc.?
It's amazing.

I've learned quite a lot from the same tech channels that you all mention. Mend It Mark and Techmoan are my favourites.

But I have been pretty much addicted to YouTube since I first signed up 18 years ago.

Cutting Edge Engineering is great

Mighty Car Mods is one of the best car channels I know

Project Farm is the best tool testing channel in the world

For a lovely relaxing time traveling the logging routes of Canada and unblocking beaver dams you should watch post10. I fall asleep to this most days.

We have a cottage just outside of Algonquin Park and routinely have to take down beaver damns to keep the lake level low. In a period of 24hours they can restore the dam back to it's original size if they're determined. Worst case is we trap it and relocate far away. Nature's little bastards! lol

Overnight, the lake rose about 25-30 cm's

No one else complains about the level on the lake because we're alone, just us and the beavers. Now I know how Bill Murray felt in Caddyshack.
