My Top 5 list: Add your own

There is nothing I love more than getting to hear other people’s opinions and seeing all sorts of different perspectives. I am going to make a list of my top five favorite Boomboxes and you can feel free to either reply with your own or provide a better list for me in your opinion.
1. Conion C-100F: By far my favorite for its size, looks, iconicness, and sound. If you have read my previous threads then you probably know who here put me on.

2. JCV-M90 I don’t think anyone can have a list without the king

3. Helix Wheely 5000: Size and flashiness are my two favorite things. Some prefer small yet mighty like the El Diablo but I’m a bigger is better kind of guy.

4. Promax J1 Super Jumbo: You don’t even have to be an expert on Boomboxes to know its name. It’s arguably one of the most iconic Boomboxes to date and I feel bad for not putting it higher.

5. Lasonic TRC-975: A great boombox if you’re trying to turn some heads. With its flashy iconic design, however, whoever owns one of these knows that its build quality is not the most satisfactory.

HM: Sharp GF-777: I know I did her major injustice by not putting her higher but I can’t not put the Sharp GF-777 on my list.

So what do you think? What are your top five?

Big Lasonic guy I see
I love my lasonics . despite everything else they thump. Plus I grew up on lower end boomboxes being I was lucky to even have that . once I got the m90 I knew it was the real deal but I still remember the poor man's lasonic days . I put those lasonics to work lol and I always loved the looks of a lasonic.

I have top 5s. All in my collection in two categories. Vintage and Modern

Vintage:
1: Conion C-100F
2: JVC RC-M90JW
3: JVC RC-M70JW
4: National/Panasonic RX-7000
5: Tecsonic Super Jumbo J1

Modern:
1: DJ-Tech Boombox
2: Aiwa Backtrack
3: JBL Boombox (1st Gen)
4: Lasonic i931x
5: ION Retro Glow - (Gift from Wife)

Side note: I'm not into 3 pieces as much but, if I had an opportunity to listen to the Telefunken Studio 1, it would likely knock the Super Jumbo J-1 off the list :-) It's on the want list

Like Tinman, I can only speak from boxes I've owned.....but there are some I don't have that I'd love to compare

Own..
1 JVC M90 ........................ A truly legendary street box with unmatched sound/ quaity
2 JVC PC-550/ 55............. JVC's flagship technological 3 piece with the finest deck in any boombox
3 Pioneer SK 95................. A beautiful design with soft sound and great features
4 JVC 3090EN.................... Just because as a teen I would have killed to have a TV in a boombox.
5 Sony CFS-99....................Avant garde design, mellow sound and sentimental reasons.

Don't own but wished I did.

1. Sharp GF-1000......... Just because
2 JVC PC-W300W........ In red. I've never had a double cassette box and I love the looks of this JVC
3. National RX-7000...... A street box wearing a tuxedo
4. Conion C-100F......... Not need to explain this one

Hopefully not threadjacking here but:
Has anyone ever compared an RX7700 to an RX7000?
I've never had a 7000 but everyone seems to love them.

I’ve owned many expensive holy grail units but oddly, my favorites are always the entry level units.
I love the simple, humble, workhorse feel.

1. GE 3-5252
2. Panasonic RX-5010
3. GE 3-6000
4. Panasonic RX-F4
5. Realistic SCR-8 (the only non-entry level)
