Yeah it's more of a gold color. they ought to call it gold overload .
Even after that paint job it still looks like a badass boombox.
Also cool and rare, the Yamaha MCR-B142 shelf stereo in yellow.
In high school my buddy had a Philips D8304 in that exact shade of yellow.
It was garish, to those of us used to the black and metallic boomboxes color boomboxes of the time, but it was unique. And loud.
