Ok guys Scott, Penny, Jeannie and I had a blast today. I got to see and hear some boomers I've never saw before. I particularly fell in love with the Sharp GF9000 and the Aiwa 950. Unfortunately couldn't talk Scott out of them... Yet!!! 😆. I was pretty impressed with the size of 9000 and still don't understand why Sharp didn't put a dual antenna on it 🤔
And yes as you can see I got a new box from Scott. A nearly almost mint Crown 950 as seen in pic of us. Love this crown so much that it's actually my 4th 950.
Then all 4 of us went to this new burger place next town over that has amazing burgers.

awesome , i never knew scott had a gf 9000 and it looks fantastic!. ha you will never pry it from his vise like grip , might as well start looking for another one lol. he's thinking i ain't letting this motherfucker get away lol. i been there man , too many boxes got loose from the jvc floyd skunkworks that i regretted letting go . i think every body wants a gf 9000 but bought 17 other boxes instead and now are like wtf lol.
you can bet scott's boxes are immaculate too!.
nice to see these meets , you guys are lucky to have cool wives because one of my ex girl friends called my pc-55 an antique , from that moment forward the bitch was on borrowed time . still got the pc-55 though lol.
bill you still have a few kick ass boxes . i learned that as long as you have 1 boombox you love that's enough but to have more than one you love is better lol. i don't think i have 3 fully working boxes out of the nearly 50 i own so you guy's that have fully working collections are light years ahead of me lol.

Thanks Chris and actually the 9000 is about an inch or two longer than a 931 but not quite as tall. But it's a gorgeous unit no doubt. And this is my 4th 950 so you can tell I love em'
This was my first meet with new bar and it was fun. No alcohol but still very cool ðŸ˜. As for my count on boxes after I ship Telefunken to new owner I Have 15, which isn't to bad 😀
