After getting my Camaro a month or so ago and talking to Jimmy. He said that I will be hungry for an 8 cylinder motor after a while with the 6 cylinder Camaro.  he was right because about a week ago I started searching for either an SS Camaro or a Hemi Challenger. Well after careful consideration I found a gorgeous Challenger. But I really still liked my Camaro too. So I decided to trade Jeannie's G6 convertible and bought this awesome 2013 new Challenger. Check it out!!!

Thanks guys. Took me a while to decide on which color to go with because I originally was trading Camaro so I wanted Challenger in Orange and I even liked this black one. But I couldn't see paying $2000 just for hood scoop and rear spoiler with no other options.

Definitely understand that. You know with all the retro looks, I always felt regardless of my Mopar bias, that Chrysler did the best job with the Challenger.

Yeah the retro Challenger is definitely looking the part but the Camaro is also a very cool and close retro as well. IMO. Mustang seems to be the furthest from the retro look

I like the purple best out of the three you showed us.
Thats what I would have picked too......

Yeah I literally went to look at orange one then when I pulled into dealer the Purple one was right in front shining and gleaming calling my name. This is also called an RT Classic as it has the classic look of yesteryears!!!

I totally agree on that one. I love the Camaro and I'm a Chevy guy...The first Mustang they brought back was the best IMO, but the Challenger just NAILED IT!

I want the White w/ Blue stripes 392

Now you get to hear all the Mopar jokes!

As bad as it was, Lee Iacocca knew what the public needed after the last gas crunch and succeeded. Lame somewhat, but there was some fun stuff they did produce like turbo minivans.

I don't think any American car company made a car worth a cr@p in the 80's. But in their defense they were working through analogue to digital smog constraints and the plastic evolution.

Sometimes when I see the new Challenger I have to do a double take....unless you see the old and new side by side, it's tough to tell on the street which is which.

Tell me this ain't SWEET!

Or for Aussie Chrysler/Mopar fans: 302hp - 225kw from an E49 Hemi 4.3 litre straight six (faster than the V8s)
I had one of these back in the 80s and I can say they will rev to 7500 rpm all day long! ;-)

The 80's were the worst years for Mopar. They had the junkiest crap out there

Hey now, is that a dodge omni up there? For being such a poopie looking car my friend had a turbo one in high school and it was fast as f*ck. Although in that same group of friends another buddy had a Balanced/blueprinted 351 windsor that finally broke the frame welds on his mustang II...the omni wasn't that fast haha.

Useless Mopar-related factoids:
The Omni or Chrysler (later Talbot) Horizon didn't share one single panel between the US and UK versions and we got it with torsion bars and wishbones where US (Omni) versions had MacPherson struts and coilovers.

This absence of any suspension loads on the panels around the engine bay meant that when a friend of mine T-boned some moron who pulled out from a driveway as he was approaching, he was able to drive the badly bent car all the way from the collision site to his home and from there to the scrapyard the day after! It was quick, the Peugeot XUD (1.9 litre N/A Diesel) was the standard engine here but it was available with the 1.7 litre Turbo version and boy, could those TD versions move!
Typically for a French design they rolled like pigs on stilts but would just grip and grip right up to the point when the understeer came along and then the parking brake was required to get the tail out and keep the front of the thing out of that ditch to the nearside. I rented one back in 1985 and didn't kill it so it must have been basically pretty strong.
I've had a Hillman (later Chrysler, later still Talbot) Avenger, they were a small RWD car that was a sort of slightly more sophisticated rival to Ford's MK1 and MK2 Escorts with rear coils and trailing arms where the Ford soldiered on with trap springs at the back. In the US, the Avenger was known as Plymouth Cricket which was strange as I didn't think that the world's most boring game was even played in the States. ;-)

Bill I hate you!!!! :-D

Love the plum crazy dude.

Now lets not diss the 80's Dodges. I loved the Diplomat and they had an awesome engine!

I was lucky to own a Diplomat still with the front strobes and search light. Whenever I was traveling down I-95 in the big apple NYC, I would turn on the strobes and just enjoy passing drivers as they thought it was a police cruiser. I still chuckle on that.

All this coming from a Ford guy go figure.

OK....first of all, you would NEVER want those carburetors pulling HOT AIR right off the exhaust manifolds! That is a TERRIBLE design.

Second, cross flow heads are far superior to ANY head that pulls the air in, then forces it back out the same side of the head. :dunce: Those glowing headers are BOILING the fuel in the bowl.

Believe? Yeah, I believe it's CRAP!

Yes but the issue with the four bangers they used, and all of them, was the pistons would eventually end up with holes in them causing blow by and loss of cylinder pressure. I worked as a porter at a Dodge dealer and spoke with many mechanics in regards to the issues. And of course at the time the warrantees were only 5yrs/60000 miles and all the motors were having issues after warrantee period. Surprisingly I'm surprised there wasn't any recalls on all the motors for the issues.
