X-Maxx RC Truck Carnage

So I was cruising my X-Maxx RC truck around the back yard one day and happened to accidentally nudge a stack of wheels from one of my vehicles at the edge of the driveway. The RC truck weighs around 28lbs which was enough to upright one of the tires and send it flying down the back yard. Damn thing headed straight for my shed doors All I could do is watch as it sailed right through the left door, coming to a stop on my lawn tractor :annoyed: Had it not been for the tractor, it probably would've made an exit hole too.

So this week, I find myself fixing the biggest carnage ever caused by a radio controlled vehicle.



Looks okay now I guess.


I have the worst luck sometimes. Thankfully, I am good enough with my hands to fix my bad luck. I don't do wood working projects, so all I had to make my cuts with was a jigsaw. Nonetheless, I prevailed. The wife approves of the repair.

Dude, Thats freakin' awesome!!! First off the truck is insanely huge. Never seen anything like that. I must be a sheltered bastard. How do the plastic gears hold up pulling that weight? Also, how long does the battery last doing that kind of pull? I may need to rig up something when the wife takes the car!

On this model, all gearing is metal along with metal driveshafts and differentials. It does go through wheel bearings but I knew of this prior to buying. I clean and pack them with grease about every 3 runs or whenever I go through water or heavy mud This model I am running an 8s configuration (2 4 cell lipos in series). I get around 25 minutes if I am dogging it but I can go 35-40 minutes if I am just putting around.

I've got my own RC mini track loader

It doesn't need a remote as I can stand on it and play all I want in my yard

Two more years and its all mine mine mine!

I've gotta admit, that is some kickass hobby. What would have been awesome is if the dump truck had an automatic tarp as it pulled away. Still impressed by the details.
