i always prefer the high fidelity grills with the foam ,leaves some mystery to where all that awesome sound is coming from , plus those damn squares look stupid on round speakers.

That 'fake' square woofer trick was used by many manufacturers. With the foam removed, it does look a little odd having a bold square speaker surround with a smaller, round speaker within. Why couldn't Lasonic just put in a real deal square/rectangular woofer?

Still, it does look more interesting with a visible speaker than a blacked-out, blank looking patch on either side of the otherwise super cool looking front panel.

I'd like to see a 935 with a more se through foam layer. So you can just see the speaker through it but the HIGH FIDELITY has more pop to it.

Maybe a sheer nylon material behind the grill. This way the print shows up nice and you could still see the white woofers and chrome caps in the background. Now THAT would be dope

Blacked out speaker cones with the big chrome caps would look cool too. The speaker would also look bigger as the the colour of the surround would blend in with the now black cone.

The grill writing would really pop too with an all black background!
