Winter Music Conference 2010

March 23-27 In Miami, Florida. A full week of insanity with the worlds best Dj's and producers. If you have never been, make sure you go. Every style of electronic dance music will be represented.

I highly recomend goign to DJ Craze's Bass Sessions party. The women litterally started humping the walls when he played that Miami Booty Electo Bass music that Miami is ever so famous for. I nearly pissed my pants.

I'm going to go this year. I usually a few promoter/dj/producer friends who throw down in Miami. I'm in need of some serious Floridian breakbeat music. Had an awesome time down there two years ago. I missed running into george clinton at a pool party by 20 minutes last. Dread was just chillen. I'm debating bringing a small boomer onto the plane so I can style out on A1A. Will message this Jaetee when the date gets closer. See what parties he be going to.

Hey Peter-partied with George!! back in 91'-personally hung out with him and the band w/Bootsy!
It was cool-he likes to party!! Even drew a cartoon on my "Shouldn't Enough Bit Fish" cassette-Extremely cool! Very fun time.
It was in studio B at Paisley Park Studios in Minnesota.I knew Prince's bodyguard so that's how I was there.
I wish I was going to that!! I'll be in Florida but not that late in the month.

Yeah, Petey, the 2010 Sunshine Mix will be at the beginning of March. Maybe you can just take a whole month of vacation time.

Whenever I decide to go I hope in meeting Junior Vasquez again. I met him in the early 90's where he was part of a shoot for a music video for Cyndi Lauper in Queens N.Y. the video was "Sallys Pigeons".

My brother told him about me being heavy into House Music he wanted to meet me, so finally we did and he invited me and the rest of the posse 8 total to the original Sound Factory which he and I believe Madonna owned.

We were on the invited guest list and the line of people standing outside were stunned to see 8 people on the list.

The music was stomping and loud!

Made it to the DJ booth where Junior was doing his thing, he showed me the equipment never seen so many QSC's and Crown amps bunched up like that before!

The lights along with the music just hynotize you man you did not need a drink it was like a natural high.

I'm not so sure Vasquez owned SF. I'm thinking perhaps it was in fact Peter Gatien. If it wasnt Gatien it was someone else. I definatly remember Gatien owned sLimelight and the Tunnel. Irregardless, I was at the Sound factory when it moved out of the original spot (which became club Twilo) and had some intense hedonistic nights doing things that isnt appropiate for mention on this board. However, I did get to see a full night marathon set of Vazquez with Carl Cox at Twilo a few years later. Was quite incredible. I'm not that big on house music, but it definatly was the place to be in NYC that night.

Over the years I have met 100's of DJ through friends of mine who used to throw parties. One funny time was drinking Bud cans with Frankie Bones at party in Flushing Meadows Park/ Corona Park. I was so off my ass I cant recall what we spoke about but all I remember was just laughing my ass off. Things were different even just 10 years ago, never mind 20 (ahead of my time).

Miami will be a fresh breath of air. Beuatiful women and intense music for 4-5 days.

Fat Dog, I would come to the party, but theres no way I can pull vacation time like that. The snow in NYC is my bread and butter. I plow the streets for Sanitation.
