Loved XP, still love using Win7 & really love the stability of 7 over any of the rest.....Win7 is really just Vista with different user defaults, mostly & things are rearranged a bit to be more user friendly but basically, Win7 is an updated version of Vista.

The real problem with Win8 is the default interface is tablet based & a real frustration for people who just want their desktop interface & usual Windows navigation. It sucks to learn everything all over again but that will always happen with each new OS. Win98 to XP was no different, WinXP to Vista/Win7 is no different.

I've heard these frustrations & have had these frustrations, over & over again, with each new OS release. Some are better than others but it's all progress in the end. It's like complaining that you can't drive these new fangled tin lizzies & wish for your horse back 'cause that's what you are familiar with.

Just my 2 cents...

I feel like I'm one of the only people still on 8, I don't see the point to upgrading to 8.1 or 9 or 10 or 11 or whatever the hell has come out in the two years since I built my system. I installed a desktop/start button emulator the same day I installed the OS so I never had to learn that stupid Metro thing.
