Still got my Sony VCR hooked up, use it to watch the occasional film but also been doing some videotape to DVD copies of some of my old VHS movies like Liar Liar, Robocop, Lawnmower Man, Duel etc etc...

Been very pleased with the results :-)

DVD/VCR combo here - The yearly playing of Home Alone from the VHS tapes during christmas can't be beat! My favorite is watching Jim Carey in the Ace Ventura movies  .

yep, vcr here as well...
i casually collect old hip hop vhs tapes...
many never have been transferred to dvds...
even when they have, they redo the title screen etc and it loses the feel for the era...

Actually last night I was re-connecting my Panasonic 6-Head SUPER DRIVE with auto Crystal View Control Ooh!!! (whatever that is)... Hehehehehehe ;-)

Still use a Panasonic PV-S4670 to record TV and play back the scads of promo music video singles I used to bring home when I worked at a record store. Quite a few older tapes (especially documentaries, concerts, how-to, TV episodes [like "Late Night w/ Letterman"]) aren't available in any other format. Got a bunch of VHS home movies, too (including the day we brought our now-college-age daughter home as a newborn).

yep i still have a vcr.
honestly tho being able to chuck three movies onto a disc and chuck it in the player and just watch them it fine with me.
having a dvix dvd player is pretty cool.

I have a Sony Hi-Fi Stereo VCR, 6 heads, Model SLV-E27.

$8.00 at a garage sale, this vcr looks like new, and plays like new, was from a deceased estate. Used for transferring VCR to DVD in conjunction with my LG DVD recorder, mostly my music TV recordings from the 80's and 90's RAAAAAAAAGE & Countdown (Aussie readers would know what I meant).

And a Sharp mono, which I rescued out of a dumpster, also looks and plays like new.

some (no names) lucky old members with enormous collections of VCR porn..........................
:w00t:

I'll admit to having a small collection  that I haven't seen since the 90's.

The last time I used my Sony VCR was last year... I transfer 90's Hip-Hop videos to my computer and upload 'em to my YouTube account.

Other than that, my VCR gets no use.

This one did not come with a remote!

Yes it was a bit expensive then :-O , but it still does works! :-D

And the best function on it is the Go To function!, as it does have a minutes and hour counter
you can program it to Go To 1.37 or so, and then it will fast forward/rewind to 1.37 !!

and it is very acurate in that!!

I even still have a 300 tape for it :sin: , that is 5 hours per side!! :sin: :sin: :sin:
