Good points guys  I guess my point was more from a value stand. Would having the actual M90 (thats beat up) that LL Cool J used as prop be more appealing on a value stand to you or a minty boxed unit??

I think I would prefer the minty one but I'm guessing the original used by LL Cool J would be worth more even if it's beat up....only because of the fame.

Bad Boy Bill

I will take the Cool James original, and keep it well-preserved until he kicks the bucket.. Imagine the Epay listing, it would be legendary! Instead of saying "radio just like on the album cover", the auction would say.. "SAME JVC M90 USED ON LL COOL J ALBUM COVER!!! AUTOGRAPHED TOO!!"

I would have a minty boxed one anyday.
It has nothing to do with its possible value and purely to do
with the fact that i like to look after my **** !!

When i bought my 1977 Premier wagon i didnt go out and buy a
banged up one just so everyone could tell i drive it
i went out and bought a minty one !

I bought my lounge second hand too, i didnt go out and buy a
peice of crap just so everyone knew i sat on it :dunce:

Im proud of my boomboxes and i do use them, even the minty minty
ones. That dont mean i trash them or abuse them or leave them out
in the sun to fade. It means i enjoy them and take pride in them.

Minty all the way for me !!!

Only just caught up with this thread.

If I understand things right, free M90s are on offer here at Boomboxery.com

Well here is my order:

Mint NIB M90 70W (was only removed briefly for the album cover photo shoot), owned from new by LL Cool J, original purchase receipt & Christies letter of authenticity. Free shipping too please.

James... :-)

I'd buy one in ANY condition if I found it in the wild for a good price! :-) Just to find a box like that at flea market.....ooooh.....I really should have gotten into this 10-15 years ago......I hear stories about people finding Conion C100's at yard sales for 10 bucks in those days.......grrrrr.....
