What's Your Hackiest Fix?

...last night I made a hole in my M90, on purpose.

Mine suffers from a jamming servo mechanism if not used for a while (days, not weeks) - when you press play it gets stuck ½ way. The only way to sort it is to give the flywheel a nudge, which involves taking the back off - every time.

I've tried to fix it many times - it has new belts & isn't dirty, etc. But as the problem takes a while to surface, it's very difficult to pin down.
As well as the inconvenience, every time I open it up, there is the risk of me buggering something else up much more important...

So, I've made a neat hole inside the battery compartment - just big enough to get my index finger in to reach that flywheel.
Obviously, because it's in the battery compartment, the hole isn't normally visible & it isn't big enough to upset the correct fitting of batteries.

I had the M90 out a couple of weeks ago (the wife was out!) & this fix still works like a charm...

Although this is a total hack job and I'm not proud of it....it does work.

my biggest hack was a busted up sony cfs-99 that i won a long time ago recieved in bad condition no radio, , deck had parts broken but i was able to make a quick fix ,,now the radio board was shot ,,so i was looking around and found a small radio board out of a sony cfs-450 well after playing around with it rearranging wires, had to cut a bit of plastic just to lay the board down mostly sideways,,hey but i got it to work ,,stations were not aligned correctly but it worked,,that was my biggest hack job funny thing was i got a good cfs-99 from my buddy skippy so it all worked out

was old buddy ramonchitoburrito

he actually painted my set of OEM M90 woofers with a freeken
PURPLE MAGIC MARKER !!!!

the results ::::

Purple woofers that looked exactly like they were painted with a magic marker
