What's it worth ? Sony CFS-9000 ?

What is this Sony CFS-9000 worth ? It had the tape deck repaired recently.
Missing "Its a Sony" decal on the tape door.
seems to have a stupid sticker ontop and a bit scratched ontop.

Well then judging by the reel tape in it, he is a collector, and in fact probably belongs to this site. Therefore he knows what it's worth and isn't going to let it go for cheap. I don't know how that model compares to the FH series, but those go for anywhere between $100 and 300. But this one doesn't look as big as those.

This ones pretty man. I have it in my watch list. As a buyer you wanna get it at its cheapest. As a seller just the opposite. It's only worth what you want to pay for it. The only thing to worry about on these are the speakers surrounds. They usually rot and just fall off. Other than that it's a hot radio. Good luck.

9000's are nice units, but the 9900 is the prize here.

They both have half the power output of the FH-7 series, having only one power IC whereas the FH has one IC per channel I recall.

Doesn't appear to have had heaps of use, when they have been used heaps the plastic above and below the volume slider becomes worn.

Remember too that the 9000/9900 both take "D" cell batteries and hence are true boomboxes, FH series require the rare DC power pack (sell me yours Super!!)

VERY tricky deck, not too hard to belt but the IC logic control is notoriously unreliable.

Still, a nice unit to have, especially with APM's.....
